Eastbourne Working Men's Club was founded as a Members Only Club in October 1912 by Charles Jewell Snr.

It was envisaged as being a place where the working men of the time could go to socialise. Ladies were then only allowed in by "invitation only".  Times have obviously changed and ladies make up a large part of our membership and member's children are welcome, under supervision.

We offer a wide range of drinks at our two fully licensed bars as well as daytime and evening entertainments and events.

The Main Bar  on the ground floor offers
  • bar area
  • seating areas
  • dance floor
  • stage for live music, djs, comedy acts etc
  • 3 dart boards
  • tv screens around walls (Sky & Sky Sports)
  • fruit machines
  • book library
  • male & female toilet facilities (including disabled and baby changing)
  • fire exits

The Rafters Bar, upstairs, offers

  • seating area
  • Dj area with dance floor
  • tv screens around walls (Sky & Sky Sports)
  • male & female toilet facilties
